These filters are suitable for:
Any pond where filtered water is required. In particular when water is to be pumped to a higher level such as a waterfall or feature

What we liked:
Almost everything. Solid construction, the number of foam filters, the exceptional power of the UV models by comparison to others. A clever pressure valve built into the unit reduces the chance of damage if the filter is not cleaned on time. Great value for money.

  • 12 MONTH CLEAR WATER GUARANTEE or your money back
Provided that you have followed the installation and operating instructions and are using equipment of the correct size for the pond.
  • High capacity filter canisters together with the unique multi-foam layout reduces cleaning by up to 3 times compared to conventional filters.
  • PressureFlo filter is small enough to be hidden or buried in the ground up to it's lid. Being pressurized by the pond pump, water can be pumped from the Cyclone to the top of a waterfall or stream.

How they work
When water passes through a pressure filter fitted with UVC, the rays from the clarifier disturb the tiny algae spores that would normally pass through the filter, once disturbed they then clump together and are caught by the foam filters. The UV rays also kill off disease-causing agents as the water flows through the clarifier. Your pond therefore virtually cleans itself.

Low maintenance
Laguna filters create a clean and healthy pond. A minimum of maintenance is required due to the unique design features encompassed in the filter, Washing of the foams is reduced by up to 3 times compared to conventional filter designs.

Easy to clean
Laguna back wash system allows waste to be pumped to a drain or flower bed during filter backwashing

Always clean the filters in a bucket of pond water, never with city water as the chlorine will kill the beneficial bacteria.

How the UVC takes care of algae
When the water passes through the filter, the UV rays from the clarifier disturb the tiny algae spores that would normally pass through the filter, they then clump them together and they are caught next time through by the foam filters. The UV rays also kill off disease-causing agents as the water flows through the clarifier. Your pond therefore virtually cleans itself.

Flow is utilized to stir up and flush out waste from the canister during back washing providing a highly effective cleaning system
Water enters the canister in a action due to the design inside the filter to settle out the solids.

The water is forced through specially graded foams which catch particles and hold beneficial bacteria* all the way through. This increases the time between cleaning.

Now almost solids free the water passes through plastic bio balls at the bottom of the canister where more beneficial bacteria cleanse the pollutants.

*Pores of the filter sponges form a large inner surface for micro-organisms to colonize and convert ammonium to nitrate. Other parts of the filter system are designed to support colonization of anaerobic micro-organisms that reduce nitrate to nitrogen.
